The company is based in Long Eaton, near Nottingham, in the factory we have occupied for the best part of a century. We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Customer Service Advisor – 3 Months Fixed Term Contract (Long Eaton, Nottingham)

The Company

Sunspel is a luxury, heritage fashion brand with a focus on quality and fabric. We are a privately-owned brand manufacturing and outsourcing high quality men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, with our goods selling in to wholesale, retail and online for both UK and export markets.

The Role

Sunspel are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to offer additional support to the team during peak season. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Advisor is responsible for:

  • Working with the customer services team in our Long Eaton office to manage all customer queries via email, telephone and live chat
  • Fraud checking and processing all orders that come through the website
  • Process returns and refunds in a timely manner
  • Working closely with our external warehouse team to ensure orders are dispatched promptly
  • Confidently liaising with members of the team from other departments, including merchandising, marketing, production and store retail staff

The Candidate

The following qualifications and experience are preferred:

  • A self-starter who is able to pick up new programmes and processes quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to multi task and prioritise
  • Confident enough to work autonomously but also works well within a small team
  • Ability to remain calm and polite under pressure and able to handle complaints and difficult situations in a friendly, tactful and on-brand manner
  • Previous experience in a similar customer driven role is advantageous but not required

Full Time Visual Merchandiser – Maternity Cover (London)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Visual Merchandiser to join our retail team across our London stores.

Responsibilities:

  • Weekly store VM changes, including the updating of products in windows and styling of mannequins on the basis of store managers’ direction and data analysis
  • Being reactive with VM, based on customer trends per store and weather changes throughout the season, in collaboration with store managers
  • Management of window installations
  • Full seasonal changes with the direction of Creative and Store Managers
  • VM training across all stores
  • VM for store events
  • Helping the wholesale team with showroom set ups when requested
  • Working on creative visual aspects of the buy with the Head of Retail and executing in stores when product drops
  • Shop floor sales support

Junior Designer – Menswear / Accessories (Long Eaton, Nottingham)

The Company

Sunspel is an authentic British clothing brand with a textile heritage going back over 150 years. The company originated as a manufacturer of jersey underwear and boxer shorts, and still runs its original UK factory in Long Eaton, Nottingham producing finest quality cotton T-Shirts. The brand now extends to a full range of wardrobe essentials from shirting and knitwear to outerwear, with exceptional quality and contemporary design at its core. It now has five stores in London and stores in New York and Tokyo. It is stocked in various luxury international retailers and has a thriving online business.

The Role

We are looking for a new Junior Menswear / Accessories Designer to support our design team in our studio in Long Eaton. The focus of the role will be Accessories as well as supporting the design team in Menswear. Our studio is based in the adjoining building to our factory and is the centre of the design, photography, technical and production departments, and also holds our archive. The role would report to the Head of Design and assist the technical and production teams specifically in helping to deliver the Accessories collection.

Responsibilities

  • In close collaboration with the Design Team, assist with the design and development of the Sunspel Collections in liaison with the Technical and Production Teams. Specific duties include: support on technical drawings, colour-ups of CADs and setting up of range boards.
  • Specific focus on Accessories, taking responsibility for developments from design through sampling and into production. This will involve good direct communication with factories and close co-operation with the production department.
  • To assist the Design Team on research into themes and techniques; creation of mood boards and development of seasonal colour / stripe / print direction for the Sunspel Collections.
  • To ensure all collection boards, visual range plans and information are kept updated and clear through close collaboration with the Design Team. To ensure that the Design Team communicate correct and updated information to all channels throughout the company.
  • Any other related duties, not specified above, as outlined by your Line Manager and required to support the running of the design studio.

Requirements

  • University degree with a focus on Menswear or Accessories.
  • 2-3 years experience within a brand focusing on Menswear or Accessories is ideal.
  • The role will be based in the design studio in Long Eaton with hours of 9 – 5, Monday to Friday.
  • Possible travel may be required with the role to visit stores / factories.
  • Applicant needs to be incredibly efficient in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
