We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Assistant Store Manager (New York)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team in our store in New York. You must possess the following skills and perform the following duties:

Responsibilities

Basic duties

  • Daily supervision of employees
  • Lead in opening and closing the store
  • Daily scheduling
  • Payroll management
  • Enforcing and documenting all disciplinary actions
  • Motivating staff to achieve daily goals and KPIs and always keeping them up to date with the latest company news
  • Be familiar with all aspects of the manager’s job and be able to assume their role in their absence

Hiring

  • Work closely with the manager in making hiring decisions
  • Be fully involved in the interview process
  • Have a good understanding of hiring paperwork and onboarding
  • Have a good understanding of what is required for the floor and be able to express this to potential candidates

Training

  • Ensure employees complete training and professional development program
  • Create training materials to develop employee product knowledge
  • Coach employees on sales techniques and skills
  • Coach staff in visual merchandising standards
  • Offer positive feedback and constructive criticism to staff
  • Track employee KPIs and communicate where they are succeeding and areas of opportunities

Team building

  • Gather ideas from all members of staff and make the final call on group decisions
  • Understand the reasons why and explain your decisions to the team and manager

Customer service

  • Manage customer conflicts and ensure customers always leave the store happy
  • Communicate to the manager and merchandising team customer requests and missed sales
  • Lead the team in all clienteling needs
  • Lead the team in reaching out weekly to VIP customers to check in
  • Be the ‘host’ of the store and make every effort to make the customer feel important

POS and cash register management:

  • Manage cash flow in the register and ensure it always has enough change
  • Ensure return policies are being followed and staff are following correct procedures

Inventory management

  • Train and lead employees in inventory best practices
  • Track inventory opportunities and communicate requirements to the manager and merchandising team
  • Accept deliveries and check in all shipments on the POS
  • Manage stock room organization and delegate tasks to the team to maintain stock room organization

Visual merchandising

  • Ensure visual merchandising changes are completed to a high standard and are delivered on time
  • Ensure changes to visual merchandising are communicated through the business
  • Manage the replenishment of stock on the shop floor

Digital Marketing Executive (Long Eaton, Nottingham)

The Role

The Digital Marketing Executive will be a key member of our Online team working with they will be responsible for the planning and execution of customer acquisition activity in line with the overall strategy and vision of the business. The ideal candidate will be able to bring fresh and creative ideas to the table, with the ability to measure success. In this role one of the fundamental functions will be to understand the latest industry changes and then proactively adjust digital marketing activities accordingly

The role is a key pivot between Online and Marketing and as such requires excellent communication skills, organisation and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Driving customer acquisition to the Sunspel websites through digital channels
  • PPC – campaign building, keywords research, budget management, campaign optimisation, ad copywriting and performance reporting.
  • Social Advertising – building campaigns for Facebook and Instagram advertising, targeting selection, budget management, campaign optimisation and reporting
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO) — supporting with the implementation of our SEO strategy, running weekly performance reviews and regular website health audits.
  • Display advertising — assisting with management of our campaigns that include retargeting and programmatic display.
  • Affiliate marketing – helping with the daily administration, reporting and the expansion of our affiliate program.
  • Customer acquisition and marketing reporting and analysis for continuous improvement and optimisation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience within Digital Marketing position, with either a digital agency or eCommerce background.
  • Proven eCommerce and commercial experience, evidenced through background and track record of delivering customer acquisition and sales growth.
  • Experience building creative campaigns for digital marketing.
  • Able to demonstrate building and managing digital marketing channels including Facebook and Instagram advertising, PPC, display advertising, SEO and affiliate marketing.
  • Experience managing display campaigns and meeting CPA targets.
  • An solid understanding of web technologies.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Google products: Analytics, Google Ads and Merchant Center.
  • High level of expertise using MS Office, advanced Excel skills and a knowledge of MS Access would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written communication and an eye for detail.

Part Time Sales Assistant – Stock Focused (New York)

We are on the lookout for sales assistants with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to join us in our New York retail team.

Your stock focus will require the following:

  • Accept delivered packages and ensure correct quantities are inside
  • Check inventory levels in BOH POS system
  • Backstock merchandise and ensure all merchandise in the stock room is represented on the sales floor
  • Mark items with identifying codes, such as price, stock or inventory control codes
  • Ensure labels are clear and visible, reprinting if needed
  • Prepare merchandise for shipment to the warehouse when recalls and are in process, following all necessary steps the warehouse provides
  • Be INCREDIBLY organised and proactive with every element of fluctuating stock
  • Make the team and management aware of stock levels when necessary
  • Be able to lift boxes up to 30+ pounds
  • A positive attitude
