We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Customer Service Advisor

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service Advisor is responsible for:
• Working with the customer services team in our Long Eaton office to manage all customer queries via email, telephone and live chat
• Fraud checking and processing all orders that come through the website
• Process returns and refunds in a timely manner
• Working closely with our external warehouse team to ensure orders are dispatched promptly
• Confidently liaising with members of the team from other departments, including merchandising, marketing, production and store retail staff
• Providing holiday and lunch cover for the office administrator where required

Requirements

The following qualifications and experience are preferred:
• Previous Experience in a similar customer driven role is essential
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required
• An interest in fashion, with previous experience within an online retailing company is desired but not essential
• Good organisation skills and the ability to multi task and prioritise
• Good communicator and able to create good working relationships
• Confident enough to work autonomously but also works well within a small team
• Ability to remain calm and polite under pressure and being able to handle complaints and difficult situations in a friendly and tactful manner
• Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word

Management Accountant

The Company

The Role

Based in our Long Eaton head office, this role will be responsible for providing support to the Finance Director and FP&A Manager. The role will be supported by a trainee accountant and AP/AR Clerk.

The role is responsible for the accurate end to end accounting of all financial transactions and associated daily, weekly and monthly reporting. This will include:

  • Preparation of Group Managements Accounts, including the consolidation of four foreign legal entities
  • Timely Month End reporting, including insightful analysis and commentary
  • Weekly Cash forecasting and Treasury Management
  • Manage the inter-company accounts to ensure they are agreed with other entities
  • Expense analysis and cost control
  • Regular cost reviews with cost centre managers
  • Factory profitability reviews
  • Processing of monthly payroll
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Stock control and reporting
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat and National Statistic Returns
  • Oversee Purchase ledger and Sales Ledger Function
  • Preparation of the year-end Audit file and auditor liaison
  • Supporting Budget and reforecast preparation, collation and consolidation
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Continual process improvement

The Candidate

The following qualifications and experience are preferred:

  • Fully Qualified or Passed Finalist accountant (preferably ACA or CIMA)
  • Experience of working in a commercial finance team
  • Experience of working in a business with multiple sales channels and departments
  • Audit and/or financial accounting experience including consolidations
  • Analytical mind, good attention to detail, used to working to tight deadlines
  • Confident enough to work autonomously
  • Line Management Experience
  • Excellent Excel skills including Macros, VLookUp, Pivots etc.
  • Experience of working with complex ERP systems and related process improvement

Senior Merchandiser

Founded in 1860, Sunspel pioneered the development of luxury undergarments. Sunspel is now a growing and exciting global fashion brand with Menswear, Womenswear and Accessory collections sold through its stores and online and through its extensive Wholesale partners. The Merchandising team is looking to expand and recruit a Senior Merchandiser.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering the Merchandising critical path in terms of timely forecasts to be converted to accurate Purchase orders
  • Driving the Seasonal buy and strategy for Online and Retail while supporting the teams in aligning the Wholesale Forward to the final Purchase orders
  • Ensuring high in stock % for all Core and Replenishment lines by liaising with all departments across the business to inform the forecasting process
  • Working well with the Design team and ensuring all sales trends and lessons learnt are fed back clearly, accurately and in line with the Critical path, focusing on finding all missed opportunities
  • Supporting the Retail function by reviewing sales and stocks in stores and maximising sales with feedback and correct stock allocations
  • Highlighting to the business all stock risk taking into account all possible sales through all channels
  • Managing stock to an agreed set of KPIs, Terminal stock, In stock % and Sell thru % and working closely with Finance to deliver the business model

IT Support Assistant

We are looking for an experienced IT assistant to provide hardware and software support to our growing number of users over multiple sites. You will be responsible for maintaining computer networks and infrastructure, PC’s, printers and peripherals. A technical background, professional and friendly attitude is a must for this position with the ability to work calmly under pressure.

The business operates with a Windows and OSX environment.

Art Director/Graphic Designer

This combined role of Art Direction and Graphic Design creatively bridges communication touch points across all departments in the business, and leads internal production of visuals for digital, print, store campaigns and manages/directs creative projects required by marketing. The role also includes undertaking some in-house Graphic Design and working closely with the internal photo-studio producing imagery to support marketing content. The role will be expected to develop close working partnership with Design, Retail, Online and Wholesale departments to fully respond creatively to the needs of the business.

JOB SUMMARY

  • The Art Director/Graphic Designer role will handle internally directed briefs that come from the CEO/Creative Director and will also oversee the finalisation on projects coming in from external Creative agency.
  • Examples of internal projects would be creative concept, art direction and layout design of internal marketing campaigns (that could include the production and direction of photography to provide assets for these). The role relies on the candidate being creative, flexible and organised so that they able to interpret the briefs and come up with solutions that fit the Sunspel aesthetic, and are delivered on schedule and on budget.
  • Examples of external projects would be marketing campaigns from creative agency, where assets and hero templates will be delivered to be artworked and implemented internally. Here you would be required to over-see artworking, sign-off and ensure quality of final deliverables.
  • You will be required to maintain the brand guidelines, making sure branding is kept consistent across various projects such as labeling, advertising, and seasonal collateral, and also take input from Creative Director and Creative Agency.
  • You will be responsible for all internal graphic design needs not outsourced to our external Creative Agency, again maintaining the Sunspel brand aesthetic by working within the brand guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of internal projects covering: printed collateral for stores, new product packaging, advertising layouts, photography shoot direction, simple lookbooks, mailers, brand presentation collateral, homepage layouts, VM concepts and visuals, collaborative/events collateral.
  • Comfortable managing multiple components of each unique project – liaising between copywriters, printers, photographers, and external contributors to deadlines and budget. .
  • Presenting concepts to Creative Director and CEO for sign-off
  • Taking both creative as well as commercial input from relevant departments to deliver final ideas that represent brand direction and business needs.
  • Artwork from hero templates provided by the Creative Agency
  • Develop and design layouts of print projects briefed for sign-off and prepare files for print & proofing (such as store POS, swing tickets, packaging)
  • Develop and design layouts of digital projects briefed for sign-off and to specifications from online team (such as banner ads, website components, banners, social media)
  • Develop window graphics/installation graphics for Sunspel stores and pop-ups, and work with external supplier for quotes and installation.
  • Pull together presentations on both Powerpoint and Indesign for various projects and needs across the business.
  • Manage projects involving multiple contributors: printers, copywriters, photographers, designers; comfortably manage all contributors to deadlines and budget.
  • The day-to-day administration of Graphics file server; maintaining folder structures to ensure easy access to information that includes briefs, print specifications, quotes, invoices & packaged artwork files.
  • Upkeep and transfer of imagery to the Image Library Server
  • Assist internal departments day-to-day across the business that require Graphics input
  • Manage and update the print archive & store file copies
  • Upkeep and transfer of imagery to the Image Library Server

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have some experience of art direction, including of photo-shoots as well as graphic design experience across a range of customer touch points – both print and digital.
